Jacob Topen is a Scottish composer working across television, film, and advertising.

His work combines orchestral writing with electronics, field recordings, and texture.​ 

He holds a Master’s degree in Sound for the Moving Image from the Glasgow School of Art, graduating with Distinction. His final project was Reawakening the Horror, an original contemporary score for Nosferatu.

He has composed music for television, branded work, and art gallery installations, with clients including the BBC, Issey Miyake, and Pinterest, and frequently collaborates with directors and creative teams early in the storytelling process.
